Lizardmen
I started playing lizardmen when the fourth warhammer edition was released.
It contained a lizards and bretonians.
I liked painting the models but only played them ocassionaly.
With the new lizardmen army book I started playing them again.
I also started modeling and casting special bases for the complete army.
I created seven different bases in different sizes and casted around one hundred of them.
It turned out to be a big success and not nearly as much work one might think.
This is my old slann model. I made the mistake painting them as proposed by GW. The blue never looked good. With the new Lizardmen army book GW released a newer model that I don't like. The new slann looks like a hamster where the old really looked like some big fat frog.
In comparison this is the new Slann model I build. This time I chose a better color scheme for the models and modified them quite a lot. I also used the special bases I casted. The feathers were build using a lot of different plastic feathers and then added green-stuff extensions. Click here to see more pictures.
This is the GW "Kroq Gar on Carnosaur" model. Part No. 99110208048 As you can see from the thin Saurus hero it's part of the new Lizardmen release. I converted the model a bit giving him a two handed weapon and a totem. It's also standing on one of my special bases. Click here to see more pictures.
Skink hero with blowpipe Part No. 99060208075. A nice model that came out quite well. It also has a shield that I forgot to put in.
Some of my newly paintet skinks. Again all of them with the new bases. Click on the picture for more shots.
These are the models I use as my Kroxigors. The old GW Kroxigors were quite OK. The new ones have something snake like. That reminds me, Citatel once hat some cool Snakemen models. Anyway, these models are not from GW. They are from Crocodile Games and from the Sebeki army range. You should check out their homepage. They have an online shop with fantastic pictures of their NMM painted models.
