Monster
Fear the horned rat.
The horned rat is the god of all skaven.
He likes them to dominate the world.
He likes to send a messager to the skaven to rip them appart if they don't follow him to the word.
These messagers are the rat demons (also called vermin lords).
A good sorcerer may manage to summon one of them (after sacrificing a lot of blood).
With a little luck the sorcerer might even survive this.
The model is called "e;Vermin Lord, Greater daemon of the horned rat"e;.
The part numbers are: Head 0516/1, Torso 0515/2, Legs 0516/3 , Right arm with halberd 0516/4, Left arm 0516/5, Tail 0516/6, designed by Michael Perry.
The color scheme is similar to the one, GW used for his demon.
Here you see my Screaming Bell.
The model is the Games Workshop "Skaven Grey Seer Screaming Bell" from Jes Goodwin and Norman Swales, Batch NO 069219.
The bell is modified that it can really ring.
The grey seer is painted with a white albino fur.
I think about repainting it in darker colors if I ever have enough time.
In the new (6. edition) the bell is nearly useless.
Here you see my new Screaming Bell.
The model is the Games Workshop 2002 "Skaven Screaming Bell" from Dave Andrews and Colin Grayson, Product Code 99 11 02 06 059.
This bell can ring too.
The best thing about this model are the small rats running all over it.
Very cute.
This is the Skaven Warpfire Thrower.
The most stylish weapon in the whole arsenal.
It shoots a mixture of petrolium and warpstone for a devastating effect.
The new Games Workshop Ratling-Cannon.
Extremly good model and even somewhat usefull on the battlefield if you roll the right numbers.
This is my first try at non metallic silver and it looks quite good.
Ups, just noticed that the second scaven is out of focus. Bummer.
These are the new plastic rat ogres. A lot of strange body parts are included but I don't like rat ogres with strange metal parts attached to them. A nice plastic box but I like to old models more. Now if GW would make them at least partly usefull in combat, e.g. by making them ten points cheaper.
This is a fearsome skaven war-engine called the Doomwheel.
Designed by the mad genius Ikit Claw it not only crushes the enemies under it's rat-driven wheels.
It addinionally smithens them with powerfull bolts of lightning generated by a warpstone generator.
The rules for the sixth edition can be downloaded from the GW page.
Besides it's habit to wreck itself with the lightnings it is quite usefull.
I think that the wheel is a lot more stylish than the new warplightning cannon.
The model is designed by Jes Goodwin and Norman Swales.
Part numbers are 0517/1 to /10 plus you need one plastic wheel.
