xine-transcode is a program to convert between different digital video formats. It is well designed and licenced under the GNU public licence.

The current state of this project can be described as beta. Beta because the current functionality seems to work OK. The rub is that the current functionality is:

  • Open mpeg-pes streams (DVD)
  • Remove audio streams
  • Requantisize (make smaller)
